Strong finish to Jerez Moto2 Test for the BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2 Team: Guevara confirms pace with P6, Ferrández continues learning trajectory
The BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2 Team concluded two productive days of testing at the Circuito de Jerez – Ángel Nieto with promising signs ahead of Round 1 in Buriram, Thailand (27 February – 1 March). Izan Guevara continued to demonstrate strong, consistent pace while evaluating a wide range of updates and completing a successful race simulation. He secured fifth place in the Day 2 results and sixth in the combined standings. Alberto Ferrández focused on extensive set-up work, again completing a high number of laps as he continues his Moto2 learning process, wrapping up the test in 27th position, having gained valuable experience. With a lot of data secured and clear feedback gathered across both sides of the garage, the team leaves Jerez eager to kick off the 2026 Moto2 World Championship.

"I'm very happy with these two days of testing in Jerez. We finally had good weather and made the most of it. We used the opportunity to complete many laps and try a wide range of items and settings. We had new parts from Boscoscuro, as well as a new setting we developed over the winter.

"With Izan, as we already saw in Portimão, we are really pleased. We are always fast, regardless of what we test. Whether we are satisfied with a change or not, his lap time is consistently strong and his feedback is always very clear. He helps the team a lot in understanding what works and what doesn't.

"Alberto is, of course, new to this category. We allowed him to use these pre-season tests to learn about the bike, the team, and the class itself. Everybody in Moto2 is extremely fast, so he needs to understand that progress takes time – it was the same for Izan, who is now at the top after four years. Alberto just needs to keep going out on track, ride in all kinds of conditions, and do his best. That's all we ask of him now.

"I think we can have a good start to the season. Compared to last year, we are starting from a very different position. Jerez is always a difficult circuit, but over the last two days we were much faster than we were here last season. So, we'll keep our fingers crossed and start the championship with a smile."

"We've finished two great days here in Jerez, and the bike is now perfect as we prepare to travel to Thailand for Round 1. I finished P6 in the combined standings, and we were able to test many things, draw clear conclusions, and confirm the good feeling with the bike – which is so important. I really enjoyed riding here over these two days. I want to thank Yamaha and my team for all the work they've done. The race simulation and the pace were really positive. I'll need to compare my pace with that of the other riders, but I'm feeling competitive."

"Today was a difficult day. I completed a lot of laps and worked very hard, and the mechanics did as well because we tested many different settings. We were trying to find the best set-up for the upcoming races and also for Thailand, especially with the hard tyres. We have done a huge amount of work over these last two days, and we didn't focus on lap times. I'm really happy with the team: with the mechanics, the data technicians, everyone. Now let's see what we can do in Thailand."
