Positive Jerez Moto2 Test Day 1: Guevara shines with P3, Ferrández completes extensive tyre work
It was a productive start to the two-day Jerez Moto2 Official Test for the BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2 riders. Izan Guevara made good progress, improving consistently throughout the day and setting a competitive third-fastest time of 1'39.261s, one second faster than on his previous Jerez visit. Alberto Ferrández completed a high number of laps, gathering crucial data on bike settings and tyre performance while focusing mainly on the hard compound. Both riders aim to build on this momentum tomorrow, with Guevara planning to attempt a full race simulation and Ferrández targeting work on the soft tyres.

"We started the first day here in Jerez with some good laps, and I was able to gain a better understanding in many different areas, which helped me improve a lot. Lap by lap, everything became clearer. I managed to set a strong hot lap, a 1'39.2s, which is one second faster than the last time we were here. For tomorrow, I'd like to try to push a bit more, and I also aim to complete a race simulation."

"I completed a lot of laps today, and we gathered a lot of information about the tyres, the bike's settings, and everything else. We faced some challenges, but we worked through them and now have everything fully under control. Tomorrow, I'd like to focus more on the soft tyres, as today we concentrated mainly on the hard compound. We didn't push for a hot lap, but we collected valuable data on the tyres that will be available to us for the upcoming races."
