The BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2 Team will line up with Alberto Ferrandez and Alvaro Carpe for the 2027 season, continuing its commitment to Yamaha’s ambitious BLU CRU project, designed to identify promising young riders and support their development from the junior categories through to the pinnacle of motorcycle racing.

Ferrandez, who made his Moto2 debut with the team in 2026, will remain for a second season as he builds on his experience in the intermediate class. Having faced a significant learning curve in his rookie year, including adapting to a new category and tackling several unfamiliar circuits, the 19-year-old Spaniard will enter 2027 aiming to take the next step in his progression and establish himself as a competitive presence in the class.

Joining him will be fellow Spaniard Alvaro Carpe, also 19, who steps up from Moto3 after demonstrating considerable potential in his second season in the category. Currently fourth in the championship standings, Carpe has earned his promotion through his performances and continued development. His first season in Moto2 will be focused on adapting to the demands of the new category, with the aim of building momentum and beginning to translate his potential into promising results as the season progresses.

The 2027 line-up represents another important step in the BLU CRU project, which places young talent at the heart of Yamaha and Pramac’s long-term vision. The pathway is already delivering results with Izan Guevara, who will move up to MotoGP in 2027 after establishing himself as a title contender in Moto2, where he currently sits second in the championship with five rounds remaining. His progression embodies the project's ambition: to nurture riders through the categories and provide them with the opportunity to reach the highest level of the sport.

With two young riders entering the new season at different stages of their development, the BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2 Team will continue to combine long-term growth with the pursuit of competitive progress, reinforcing its role in building the next generation of Yamaha racing talent.

We are very pleased to continue working alongside Yamaha on the BLU CRU project, supporting the development of young talents on their journey towards MotoGP.

We warmly welcome Alvaro Carpe to the team and look forward to supporting him in this important step in his career.

Alberto has done a great job adapting to Moto2 this season, and we are confident he can take a significant step forward in 2027 and establish himself as one of the leading riders in the category.

Next year, we will welcome a rookie who has shown great promise in Moto3 this season, consistently demonstrating his competitiveness and delivering a strong campaign. This gives us plenty of reasons to be optimistic about the BLU CRU Yamaha project, which reflects a strong commitment to young talent.

We are also pleased to confirm Alberto for a second season. After his rookie year, he has shown that he has considerable potential, and we expect him to take an important step forward in 2027, establishing himself as a benchmark in the category.

As a team, we will give both riders our full support to help them be competitive. With Alvaro, we hope to see him start translating his potential into encouraging results from the middle of the season onwards, while with Alberto, the goal is to make a further step forward and establish himself consistently inside the top ten from the beginning of the championship.

Team Manager, BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2
We have a fantastic season to build on, the result of the work that began last year with Izan Guevara. We are continuing our commitment to developing young talent through Yamaha’s BLU CRU project, which gives us both the privilege and the responsibility of helping young riders grow and ultimately reach MotoGP.

Alvaro is as young as Alberto, with just two seasons of experience in the Moto3 World Championship, yet he has already shown the qualities needed to compete at the highest level. We will focus on his development from the outset, particularly with fewer tests next year, which will leave less time for adaptation and make a structured approach essential.

Alberto, meanwhile, has shown considerable potential in his rookie season, and we expect him to take an important step forward in 2027. He has outstanding qualities, particularly under braking, and we believe he has everything needed to become a consistent top-ten contender.

I’m really happy to renew with my team for another year. They are the team that gave me the opportunity to race in the World Championship, and I’m very grateful for that. There will be quite a few changes next year, and I’m really excited to start working towards the new season. For now, though, we remain focused on the rest of this year, continuing to improve and working on my recovery so I can be at 100% for next season.

I want to thank everyone who has made this possible, including my sponsors, the people who work with me every day, Yamaha, Pramac and all the team members. I’d also like to welcome Alvaro Carpe, who will be joining us next year. I’m looking forward to working together with him.

Stepping up to Moto2 means a great deal to me, and doing so with the BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha team makes it even more special. I'm really looking forward to getting started, riding the bike for the first time, and working with a team that has contributed so much, and continues to contribute so much, to our sport.

It's a challenge that we are taking on with great enthusiasm and, at the same time, a real sense of happiness. I would like to thank Yamaha and Pramac for giving me this opportunity, as well as everyone who supports me day in and day out, helping my career to grow and improve with each passing season.

Let's get to work!
