The BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2 team turned their strong qualifying into a solid race result in the Grand Prix of the Netherlands Moto2 Race. Following some hard battles, Izan Guevara secured P4, while rookie Alberto Ferrández impressed with a career-equalling P9 finish before a penalty placed him in P10.

Izan Guevara (who celebrated his 22nd birthday today) slotted into second place after the start, then briefly took the lead, and remained in contention with the top group in the early stages. Despite battling with various rivals, which led to him dropping to P5, Guevara played the long game and managed his tyres carefully in the heat. In the closing stages, he climbed back up to fourth place. With and 3s gap to the leading trio, the Spaniard pushed on to take a P4 finish, 2.795s from first.

Rookie Alberto Ferrández made an excellent start, taking the holeshot to lead a Moto2 race for the first time. He gained crucial experience battling at the front before settling into a solid rhythm inside the top ten. Ferrández crossed the line in P9, equalling his career-best Moto2 result. However, a three-second penalty for failing to complete a long-lap penalty demoted him to P10 and 12.288s from the top. Despite this, he lost only one position due to a similar penalty for another rider.

Guevara remains second in the championship with 128 points, maintaining strong title momentum. Ferrández climbs to 19th overall with 14.5 points. The BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2 Team now holds third place in the team standings with 142.5 points.

The team will return to action at the Sachsenring for the Grand Prix of Germany, held from 10-12 July.

"It was another very positive weekend for the team. Izan gave everything he had and, once again, he was the strongest Boscoscuro on the grid. For a while he even made us believe we could fight for the podium. At the moment we're still missing something in the second half of the race to stay with the very front group, and that's where we need to keep working.

"As for Alberto, I know he's not completely satisfied with the result, but from our side we're extremely proud of what he achieved this weekend. He qualified on the front row for the first time, led a Moto2 World Championship race for the first time, and showed that he belongs at the front.

"The fact that he's disappointed is not a negative thing. It shows his ambition and his determination to fight for the positions that matter. If he keeps working with this attitude, the results will come."

"I'm happy with today's race because, considering how our weekend started, finishing fourth is a very positive result. On Friday we had almost no feeling with the bike, so to turn things around like this is a credit to the whole team.

"The guys did an excellent job throughout the weekend, and together we managed to make a big step forward. We were able to recover from a very difficult situation, and that's something to be proud of.

"In the end, fourth place reflects what we achieved on track. Of course, I always want to fight for the podium, but after the way the weekend began, this result gives us confidence and confirms that we're moving in the right direction.

"It was also nice to celebrate my birthday with my family here in Assen. We'll keep it simple tonight, but it's definitely easier to enjoy the evening after a result like this."

"It was a really special race for me. I made a great start, led the first two laps and, for the first time in my career, I was able to lead a Moto2 World Championship race. That's something I'm really proud of.

"The race itself was very demanding. I wasn't completely comfortable with the bike from the beginning, but I knew that before the start and just focused on giving everything I had.

"The penalty at the end was a shame because it cost me a few positions, but it doesn't change the overall picture. We did a very good job throughout the whole weekend, and we're building strong momentum.

"The biggest positive is that I was able to fight with the front group and see that I have the pace to be there. Now it's just a matter of continuing to work, keep improving, and keep pushing."
