The Grand Prix of the United States on Sunday was a tale of two halves for the BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2 Team. Izan Guevara pushed to third, securing his second podium of the 2026 season, while Ferrández triggered a multi-rider crash in Race 1 on the first lap when his bike became unstable at Turn 11. He was unable to restart.

Starting from P7, Guevara made inroads on the opening lap of Race 1 before it was red flagged, and he repeated the strong start in Race 2. He completed the first lap of the 10 lap dash in P4, battled with various rivals, and ultimately arrived right behind the leading duo on the final lap, taking third, 0.908s from first.

Ferrández avoided serious injury in the Race 1 incident and was eligible for the restart, but further medical checks and heavy bike damage prevented him from taking part in Race 2.

Today's results put Guevara 2nd in the championship with 36 points, while Ferrández sits in 22nd place with 0.5 point. The BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2 Team are now 3rd with 36.5 points.

The team will enjoy three weeks off before travelling to Jerez for the Grand Prix of Spain, held from 24–26 April.

Team Manager, BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2
"I'm really, really happy about the race of Izan Guevara, because, actually, until yesterday we were not really fast. We improved after the quali, but we had no idea how today would go and if we could fight for the podium. So, I would like to give a compliment to the team and a compliment to him; we've achieved some very nice results, and I'm also really happy about the current standing in the championship classifications.

"On the other hand, I feel really sorry for Alberto Ferrández. He made a mistake that was easy to make for a young rider like him. That's part of racing. We simply hope he is okay and will come back stronger than before.

"We wish all riders affected by the incident a speedy recovery."

"A difficult weekend that ends with a solid podium. I am very happy about this result. It was challenging to start again after the red flag. However, both times I made a good start, recovering positions and getting close to the front group. I did my best to manage the drop of the tyre, thinking of the championship. This second position in the general standings is great. This is the best beginning of the season I have ever had, and it's time to enjoy it. Thanks to my team, Yamaha, and Pramac, for believing in me and for supporting me."
