BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2 are proud to celebrate two firsts for the team after today's hot Grand Prix of the Netherlands Moto2 qualifying sessions. Alberto Ferrández came through Q1 to take part in Q2 and secured a career-first front-row start with a stellar P2 result. Izan Guevara added the cherry on the cake by holding onto P3 in today's Q2 session, earning BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2 their first double front-row start.

Ferrández took part in Q1 and held P2 when the session was red flagged due to clean-up proceedings in Turn 15. Pit lane reopened at 13:48 local time for the final 10:17 minutes on the clock. However, the time the rookie had set on his first flying lap, a 1'35.839s, was enough for a P2 result, 0.097s from first. At the start of Q2, the number 54 followed his teammate and slotted into P2 again. His 1'35.407s, posted on lap 2/7, again stood the test of time until the Q2 session ended and kept him in second place, 0.171s from pole.

Guevara's benchmark Q2 lap put him into third place on his first stint before he headed back to pit lane. The Spaniard got another two laps in on his second stint but didn't find a time improvement. His 1'35.426s, set on lap 2/7, earned him a third position, 0.190s from P1.

All eyes will be on the front row for tomorrow's 22 lap Moto2 Race, which start at 12:15 (GMT+2).

"It’s an incredible feeling and a huge source of satisfaction. Having both riders on the front row makes it even more special, but what makes me happiest is the way we achieved this result.

"With Izan, the weekend didn’t start in the best way. We were struggling and not as competitive as we wanted to be, but the team did an outstanding job, and Izan stayed calm, trusted his crew, and kept believing. Together we managed to turn the weekend around.

"Alberto continues to surprise us. Every day he becomes faster. Even when things are not perfect, he always manages to take something positive from the situation and keep improving. Qualifying on the front row for the first time is a fantastic reward for him and for everyone working with him.

"Congratulations to both riders, to the entire team, and thanks to Yamaha and everyone who has contributed to making this result possible."

"I'm really happy with today. Honestly, qualifying in P2 for the first time is something I didn't expect coming into the weekend, and it's a great reward for all the work we've done together with the team.

"From Friday we kept improving the bike, and I was also able to improve my riding, especially in a few corners where I had been making mistakes. Everything came together at the right time, and I'm very pleased with the result.

"Starting from the front of the grid is especially important because qualifying has been one of the biggest challenges this season. This gives us a fantastic opportunity for tomorrow.

"I don't have anything to lose in the race. I want to make a good start, stay with the front group, and fight for the best result possible."

"It was an important step forward today. We made some improvements to the bike, and the feeling was better than yesterday, even if there are still a few areas we need to understand better by looking carefully at the data.

"I'm happy because we found something that allows us to be more competitive, and that gives us confidence heading into the race. The team has done a good job and now we need to keep building on today's progress.

"For tomorrow, the objective is clear: I want to stay with the leading group from the beginning and be there in the final laps to fight for the podium. That's where we want to be."
