BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2's Izan Guevara will continue his Moto2 World Championship quest from P6 on the grid in tomorrow's Grand Prix of Czechia. Teammate Alberto Ferrández couldn't produce a perfect flying lap due to traffic on his second run. He will commence tomorrow's Race from P25.

Guevara approached Q2 strategically. He slotted into sixth place on his first stint before heading back to pit lane. The Spaniard made sure he had enough time for two more tries, but he didn't find an improvement. His 1'58.352s, set on lap 2/6, earned him a seventh position for the start of Sunday's Grand Prix of Czechia. However, Manuel Gonzalez was given post-session penalty, moving Guevara up to P6.

New to the Brno track, Ferrández took part in Q1 and held P11 after his first run. The rookie was determined to push and better his time on his second run. However, he ran into traffic on his last flying lap and it cost him valuable time. His 1'59.433s, posted on lap 2/6 puts him in 25th place on tomorrow's Moto2 grid.

The 18-lap Moto2 Race will start at 12:15 (GMT+2) tomorrow.

Team Manager, BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2
"It was a particularly difficult day for both of our riders. I feel a bit sorry for Alberto because he had started the weekend very well yesterday, especially considering that Brno was a completely new circuit for him. Unfortunately, today he got caught in traffic during the key moments and never quite found the set-up changes he needed to make another step forward.

"That said, one of Alberto's strengths has often been his ability to recover positions in the race, so I remain confident about what he can do tomorrow.

"For Izan, the situation was somewhat similar. Traffic certainly didn't help, but the reality is that we have not been as competitive over a single lap as we were in some of the previous Grands Prix. At this circuit, our package seems to be facing a few more challenges than usual.

"Tonight we will analyse all the available data very carefully, including comparisons within the Boscoscuro group, to understand where we are losing time and where we can improve. At the same time, we need to stay measured in our approach because there is no warm-up session tomorrow, so we cannot afford to make radical changes to the bike. The goal is to find improvements while maintaining a solid base for the race."

"Today's result was more or less what we expected. We know where our weaknesses lie, and when track temperatures are high and traction becomes critical, it is more difficult for us to extract the maximum performance over a single lap.

"Even so, I'm not concerned about our race pace. Throughout the weekend I've felt comfortable with the bike and, despite missing some rear grip today, I was still able to ride consistently and stay competitive.

"The positive thing is that we understand the situation much better than in the past. We know what our strengths are, we know where we need to improve, and that allows us to focus on adapting and getting the best possible result every weekend.

"Starting from sixth is not ideal, but I'm confident for tomorrow. My pace has been solid, I can ride smoothly without overstressing the tyres, and slightly cooler conditions could help us. The goal will be to move forward and fight for the strongest result possible."

"Today was a difficult day for us. From this morning, I never really found the feeling I needed with the bike, which made it hard to ride the way I wanted and extract the performance we know we have.

"This afternoon, we tried a few changes in the set-up to improve the situation, but unfortunately they didn't bring the results we were hoping for, and I still wasn't able to feel comfortable on the bike.

"Obviously it's frustrating because we know our potential is higher than what we showed today, but these weekends are also part of the learning process.

"The positive thing is that tomorrow there's another opportunity. We will analyse the data, keep working with the team and do everything possible to come back stronger in the race."
