The BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2 Team feel all set for an exciting Grand Prix of France after solid results on the Saturday. A dominant Izan Guevara ended the Q2 session securing his first-ever Moto2 pole position. Teammate Alberto Ferrández booked progress at the Le Mans Buggati Circuit and secured P25 on the grid.

Guevara was fast in FP2, topping it. He continued the feat in Q2, setting a new all-time lap record on only lap 2/7, posting a 1'33.910s. Also due to yellow flags later on in the session, the provisional pole was never under real threat. Guevara held the P1 with a 0.086s margin.

Ferrández was feeling good at the Le Mans track in the morning, securing P14 in FP2. He was keen to continue the momentum in Q1, but it didn't quite materialise. He completed 8 laps and posted a best time of 1'34.939s on lap 2, which saw him finish 11th in the session and placed him 25th on the grid for the race.

The 22-lap Moto2 race will take place on Sunday, starting at 12:15 (GMT+2).

"This is a day that deserves to be remembered by everyone in the team, not only because of what Izan achieved, but also because of the amount of work and dedication that every single person is putting into this project.

"Izan was outstanding today. He took P1 in FP2 this morning, already breaking the all-time lap record, and then improved it again this afternoon in qualifying, taking pole position. But beyond the single lap, the most impressive part for me was his consistency and race pace. He was able to put together many consecutive fast laps both in the morning and in the afternoon, which gives us a lot of confidence for tomorrow's race.

"I also used Izan's example to remind Alberto that these results take time. Izan achieved his first pole position today after four years of work and persistence. Alberto must remember that he has time to grow, improve, and continue learning with us. Every weekend he shows progress and always does something positive, and personally I'm very happy with the job he did today."

"It's truly incredible – my first pole position after so much hard work and so many years trying to achieve it. I'm really happy because this weekend has been even stronger than Thailand. We were already very competitive there, but here we seem to have found something extra.

"From the beginning, we understood that we had strong pace and that we needed to take advantage of it. The whole team is working incredibly well, and at the moment everything seems to be coming together in the best possible way.

"Tomorrow the weather could also play a role, with rain being a possibility. That might help us if I can make a good start and stay clear of the chaos in the first laps.

"Honestly, this feels like one of the best moments since I started racing. Taking pole position and breaking the all-time lap record makes it even more special."

"Today was a good day. We improved the feeling with the bike and made some changes this morning that immediately helped me feel more comfortable. That's important because when you have a good feeling with the bike, it becomes much easier to understand where you still need to improve.

"In qualifying, I made a couple of mistakes while trying to push for a fast lap, especially in Turn 5, where I had a big moment. I almost crashed, but fortunately I managed to save it, although I lost a lot of time there. So, overall, I think our feeling is actually better than what the final result shows.

"Tomorrow we'll try to do our best in the race and continue improving step by step."
