BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2 Team Ready for Austrian Grand Prix Challenge
The BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2 team head to the Austrian Grand Prix at the Red Bull Ring – Spielberg, where Izan Guevara aims to bounce back from a challenging weekend in Misano and Alberto Ferrández looks to continue to build momentum whilst still recovering from a left-hand injury.

The BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2 team travel to the Red Bull Ring – Spielberg for Round 15 of the 2026 Moto2 World Championship. Known for its long straights, heavy braking zones, and a layout with just ten corners, the Austrian venue presents a unique challenge for riders and machinery alike. As the championship is set to enter its overseas stage, both Izan Guevara and Alberto Ferrández are determined to make the most of a European circuit that could play to their strengths.

Guevara arrives in Austria eager to put the events at Misano behind him. Thanks to superb damage control by the Spaniard, he is still second in the standings, 47.5 points behind the race leader. He remains fully focused on the championship fight and is determined to continue pushing until the end of the season. The characteristics of the Red Bull Ring are expected to suit his riding style, with several hard braking zones offering opportunities to exploit one of his strongest assets.

Ferrández heads to Austria encouraged by the progress made in Misano and by the continued recovery of his left-hand injury. While the demands of the Red Bull Ring's heavy braking areas are likely to test his physical condition, the Spaniard is arriving in better shape and highly motivated to continue working with the team. After producing a strong performance under difficult circumstances last time out, Ferrández sits in P20 in the standings and is focused on making further improvements and extracting everything possible from the weekend.

"Austria will be a really important Grand Prix for us, especially for Izan, who is obviously looking to bounce back after what happened in Misano. We are going to a circuit with a lot of very hard and important braking zones, and Izan has shown more than once that he is particularly strong in the braking areas. So, hopefully, these characteristics can help us start the weekend with the right attitude and fight for a strong result.

"For Alberto, we hope that his hand has continued to recover over these days and that he arrives in Austria in the best possible condition. With all the heavy braking and the strong loads through the handlebars, it will be important that he is physically ready. Despite the difficult circumstances, he comes from a very good race in Misano and is carrying a lot of confidence into this weekend.

"As a team, I believe we are in a very positive moment in terms of our speed on track. Now we need to make the most of that performance and avoid the mistakes that unfortunately affected qualifying in Misano and compromised the race for both riders. We need to stay focused, make the most of every session, and continue on the positive path we have been following."

"We come from a quite strange weekend in Misano, where a lot of things happened that were out of our hands, but we are still very motivated and fully focused on the championship. We are going to keep fighting until the very end. We are not giving up; there is still a long way to go and many things can happen.

"Now we arrive in Austria, and I think it is a circuit that should suit us very well. It is very much a stop-and-go track, with a lot of hard braking, and I think those characteristics are quite close to my riding style. So, I'm looking forward to the weekend and hopefully we can enjoy it while trying to recover some of the points we lost in Misano.

"We just need to keep working in the same way we have been doing. I think we are on a very good path, so we will stay focused and give everything to keep fighting."

"I'm really looking forward to getting to Austria. First of all, I have been working hard with the physio on the recovery of my hand. It is not 100% yet, but it is already feeling much better than it did in Misano, especially after the race on Sunday.

"We will see how things go in Austria. I think it could be a difficult circuit for me, particularly because of the characteristics of the track, which will put my injured hand to the test, but we will put all our effort into it. I'm really motivated to get there and continue working with the bike for another weekend.

"The goal is to keep improving, take everything we can from this round, and arrive as prepared as possible for the races ahead. So, we just keep working."
