BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2 Team Eager to Maintain Momentum at the Grand Prix of Germany
BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2 Team riders Izan Guevara and Alberto Ferrández head to the Grand Prix of Germany aiming to continue their recent progress as the Moto2 World Championship reaches its final round before the summer break.
Chemnitz (Germany), 8th July 2026
The BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2 Team arrive at the Grand Prix of Germany at the Sachsenring for Round 11 of the Moto2 World Championship, the final event before a three-week summer break. Following a strong performance in Assen, where both Izan Guevara and Alberto Ferrández secured top-10 finishes, the team is eager to carry that momentum into another demanding weekend. The Sachsenring is renowned for its unique layout featuring predominantly left-hand corners (10 left, 3 right) and a technical, flowing character that makes it one of the most distinctive circuits on the MotoGP calendar.
Guevara heads to Germany encouraged by the progress shown in Assen and is determined to close the gap to the top of the championship standings. The Spaniard has enjoyed success at the Sachsenring in the past, taking victory in the 2022 Moto3 race, while his best Moto2 result at the circuit is an eighth place in 2025. Having narrowly missed out on the podium last time out, Guevara is focused on building another competitive weekend, fighting among the frontrunners.
Ferrández arrives at the Sachsenring in a confident mood after helping the team secure its second double top-10 result of the season at the previous round in Assen. The German Grand Prix presents another learning opportunity for the rookie, who will be tackling the circuit for the first time on a Moto2 machine. Motivated by his recent progress and eager to continue developing throughout his debut campaign, Ferrández is targeting another productive weekend before the championship heads into its summer break.
ALEX DE ANGELIS Team Manager, BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2
"We arrive at Sachsenring after a really positive weekend in Assen, where the whole team did an excellent job. For the first time this season we managed to put both riders on the front row, and we finished the race with both of them inside the top 10. That was a great team performance and, just as importantly, it allowed us to gather a lot of valuable data because both riders were competitive throughout the weekend.
"We head to Germany feeling confident, also because our engineers have been working hard during the break and have prepared some new technical solutions that we'll be testing on the bikes this weekend. We'll try a few different things compared to what we've used so far, and we're looking forward to seeing how they perform.
"Race after race we've been making significant progress, and we'd really like to continue this positive trend. Our goal is to keep improving our performance, reduce the gap to the championship leader and put ourselves in a stronger position for the second half of the season."
IZAN GUEVARA BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2 Rider
"Sachsenring is one of the most physically demanding circuits on the calendar. It's a long race with a lot of left-hand corners, so it can be quite challenging both physically and mentally. Even so, we arrive in good shape and feeling confident about the work we've been doing.
"In Assen we made an important step forward. The weekend didn't start as we expected, but we kept working and finished with a really positive feeling, which gives us confidence heading into this round. Sachsenring is a track where I've always been competitive in the past, so I'm looking forward to seeing how the Moto2 bike adapts there.
"We're getting closer to our objective with every race. We finished fourth last time out, so now we'll keep pushing, fight for the podium, and do everything we can to achieve our goal."
ALBERTO FERRÁNDEZ BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2 Rider
"I'm really looking forward to racing in Germany. It's the last round before the summer break, and I've been training hard to arrive in the best possible condition after a positive weekend in Assen. Our goal is to build on that performance and keep moving in the right direction.
"It will be another new circuit for me and another opportunity to learn, which makes it an exciting challenge. I'm motivated to get on track, continue improving session by session, and do my best to achieve another strong result for the team."
