BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2 Team Target Strong Performance at the Grand Prix of the Netherlands
Travelling straight from Brno to TT Cicuit Assen, BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2 Team riders Izan Guevara and Alberto Ferrández are aiming for a competitive performance at the Grand Prix of the Netherlands this weekend.
TT Circuit Assen (the Netherlands), 24th June 2026
The BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2 Team head to the Grand Prix of the Netherlands at the TT Circuit Assen for Round 10 of the Moto2 World Championship, with Izan Guevara and Alberto Ferrández both motivated to deliver a strong result. Known as "The Cathedral of Speed", the historic Dutch circuit features a fast and technical layout that demands precision, consistency, and confidence from riders throughout the lap.
Guevara arrives at Assen encouraged by the progress shown in Brno and determined to return to the podium fight. The Spaniard's best result at the Dutch track is a second place in Moto3 in 2022. He is confident heading into the weekend as he continues to build momentum with the team. With added motivation as he celebrates his birthday on race day, Guevara is focused on putting together a consistent weekend, staying in the leading group, and maximising his chances of fighting for top positions.
Ferrández approaches the Dutch round eager to bounce back after a more difficult outing in Brno. Having previously raced at Assen in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup, the youngster benefits from existing knowledge of the track layout, which could help him get up to speed more quickly. With a clear objective to regain the positive feeling from the Hungarian GP, Ferrández is determined to continue his development and deliver a solid result.
ALEX DE ANGELIS Team Manager, BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2
"At Assen our goal is to keep pushing every detail and continue improving as a team. Brno showed us that when we are willing to explore different solutions and work together, we can make important steps forward. Izan did a great job adapting and giving clear feedback, and it will be up to all of us to provide him with the best package possible from the start of the weekend.
"We are fortunate to have a rider like Izan, who is always capable of extracting the maximum even when conditions are not ideal. At the same time, our responsibility is to make sure he does not have to compensate for anything and can focus entirely on racing.
"Alberto arrives at Assen with plenty of motivation. It is a circuit he already knows and enjoys, and he is eager to bounce back after a more difficult weekend in Brno. We remain very calm because ups and downs are a normal part of a rookie's learning process.
"The atmosphere inside the team is very positive. We will continue working closely with both riders, using all the information available to us and helping Alberto take another step forward session after session."
IZAN GUEVARA BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2 Rider
"After a weekend in Brno where, overall, I felt quite comfortable on the bike, we head straight into another race at Assen. We know there are still some areas where we need to improve, but I'm proud of the work we are doing and the progress we continue to make as a team.
"Assen is a special race for me because Sunday will be my birthday, so it would be great to spend the weekend fighting at the front and hopefully celebrate with a strong result.
"Our objective remains the same: to get back on the podium as soon as possible. We know we are close, but I am never completely satisfied unless I am fighting for victories. That is the mentality we have, and we will keep pushing to take the next step.
"The goal for this weekend is to be competitive from the start, stay in the leading group, and put ourselves in a position to fight for the podium on Sunday."
ALBERTO FERRÁNDEZ BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2 Rider
"Assen gives us the opportunity to turn the page after a difficult weekend in Brno. We have to take the positives, learn from what happened and start again with a fresh mindset.
"I raced at Assen a few years ago in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup, so it is not a completely new track for me. I already know the layout and that can help us get up to speed a little quicker.
"I am really motivated and excited to be back there. The goal is to regain the feeling we had in the races before Brno and continue building confidence session after session.
"We will keep working hard with the team, stay focused, and try to put together a strong weekend."
