Brno (Czech Republic), 17th June 2026
BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2 have arrived at the Automotodrom Brno for Round 9 of the 2026 Moto2 World Championship. The historic circuit, known for its fast and flowing layout, presents a unique technical challenge, particularly following its resurfacing in 2025. With grip conditions expected to have evolved from last year, tyre management and set-up work will be key factors throughout the weekend.

Izan Guevara comes into the Brno round holding second place in the championship standings, currently 49.5 points from the lead. The Spaniard has previous experience at the circuit, having finished sixth there last season, and is eager to convert his strong pace into a top result this time around. Confident in his riding and motivated to close the gap in the standings, Guevara is aiming for a consistent and competitive weekend from the very first session.

Alberto Ferrández arrives in Brno in excellent spirits after securing a Moto2 career-best ninth place at the Hungarian Grand Prix, a result that helped him climb to 20th in the championship standings. The rookie continues to show impressive progress in his debut season and heads to another new circuit with growing confidence and momentum. Despite never having raced at Brno before, Ferrández is focused on maintaining his upward trajectory and fighting for points once again.

Team Manager, BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2
"We arrive in Brno knowing that this will be a very important weekend for our championship campaign. After the last round, the gap in the standings has changed slightly, so it will be essential for us to execute every part of the weekend as best we can and maximise the result with Izan.

"We are also aware that the track conditions could be quite different compared to last year. Brno had new asphalt laid in 2025 and, from my experience, there is often a significant change in grip and behaviour between the first and second year of a resurfaced circuit. That means we will need to work carefully on the technical side, particularly with set-up and tyre management, to ensure we are fully competitive.

"As for Alberto, he and his crew are going through a fantastic period. Race after race he continues to improve and is showing more and more of his potential. The progress he has made in recent weeks has been very impressive.

"My role now is simply to help him stay calm and keep working in the same way. We know there will be more challenging weekends in the future, so it's important to remain focused and grounded. If he continues on this path, we are all confident that he can deliver another strong performance and fight once again for positions inside the points."

"I'm really looking forward to going to Brno. After the last race, I wasn't completely satisfied with the outcome. We gave everything we had, but despite doing the maximum possible, the final result left me wanting more.

"Brno is a circuit that I enjoy a lot and one that I feel suits my riding style. It's a fast and flowing track, which makes it particularly enjoyable to ride and gives me confidence heading into the weekend.

"The goal is to have a smoother weekend from the very beginning and build momentum session after session. We know our potential, and we want to put ourselves in the best possible position right from Friday.

"As always, we'll give our maximum on track and focus on bringing home the strongest result possible. The feeling is positive, the motivation is high, and I'm excited to get started."

"I'm really excited to go to Brno. After the result we achieved at Balaton, my motivation is very high, and I'm looking forward to getting back on track.

"I've worked hard in the days between the two races, including spending some time training on my R6, so I feel ready for the weekend ahead.

"Brno will be another new circuit for me, but Balaton was new as well, and we managed to have a very positive weekend there. That gives me confidence going into this event.

"I'm feeling happy, motivated and eager to keep improving. The goal is to continue working in the same way and make another step forward."
