The BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2 Team have arrived at the Balaton Park Circuit for Round 8 of the 2026 Moto2 World Championship. Located near Lake Balaton and approximately 85 km from Budapest, the 4.08 km circuit is a relatively new addition to the calendar, having hosted MotoGP for the first time only last year. Featuring 17 corners and a 665 m straight, the track presents a technical challenge in relatively unknown territory for many in the paddock.

Izan Guevara arrives in Hungary ready to leave the difficult Mugello weekend behind him. Despite his visit last year being compromised by an injury, the Spaniard had shown competitive pace at the Balaton Park Circuit before being forced to retire from the race. Now fully fit, Guevara is determined to fight at the front again and capitalise on a track that he feels could suit his riding style.

Alberto Ferrández enjoys back-to-back race weekends as they accelerate his learning process. He heads into the Hungarian Grand Prix with the aim to keep growing his confidence and continue his quest of finding a better feeling with the bike. He will be experiencing the Balaton Park Circuit for the first time on a Moto2 machine and is expecting a steep learning curve.

"The Hungarian Grand Prix will be a very important race for us. The issue we experienced during the Mugello race cost us valuable points in the championship, so our objective is clear: we need to maximise every opportunity and avoid mistakes.

"What gives me confidence is the level of performance we have shown. The potential is very high, and we saw that clearly throughout the Mugello weekend, especially on Saturday morning when Izan was capable of setting lap times that would have been difficult to imagine before the event.

"As for Alberto, I was extremely pleased with what he achieved in Mugello. Despite the problems he faced before the start, he delivered an excellent race and showed both determination and maturity.

"His confidence has grown significantly over the last few weeks. He improved session after session at Mugello and arrives at Balaton with a very different mindset. This is an important moment in his development, and we need to make the most of it."

"We head to Balaton after a couple of difficult races, especially in Mugello, where I never really felt comfortable with the front brake. These things can happen, and the important thing is to keep looking forward because there is still a long season ahead of us.

"On paper, this is a circuit that could suit both our riding style and the characteristics of our package. That gives us confidence heading into the weekend.

"Last year, I arrived here carrying an injury to my right hand, but even so we were competitive throughout the weekend until I was forced to retire from the race.

"This time, I come here feeling strong and motivated. We need to be ambitious and aim high. The objective is to fight for a podium, challenge for the best possible result, and bring home a big haul of points."

"I'm really excited to go to Balaton this weekend. Having another race straight after Mugello is a positive because the feeling I had with the bike is still very fresh, and I think that can help us continue our progress.

"The goal is simple: keep working in the same way and keep improving step by step. We are getting closer to the front, and I feel more comfortable with the bike every weekend. That gives me confidence going into this race. I'm focused on continuing to learn, building on the positives from Mugello, and taking another step forward.

"I'm looking forward to getting back on track and seeing what we can achieve this weekend."
