The BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2 Team is eager to perform in front of passionate Italian fans at one of the most iconic venues on the calendar. Izan Guevara and Alberto Ferrández have arrived at the Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello for Round 7 of the 2026 Moto2 World Championship. The 5.25km circuit is renowned for its stunning layout featuring a mix of fast and slow corners, elevation changes, and one of the longest straights in the championship, making it a perfect battle ground and one of the highlights of the season.

Guevara arrives in Mugello in excellent form, having secured two consecutive podium finishes and four so far this season. The Spaniard has always been competitive at the Tuscan circuit: he achieved a second place in Moto3 in 2022, while his best Moto2 result is a seventh place from last year. Confident and comfortable with his bike, Guevara is determined to stay among the frontrunners as he continues his push at the top of the championship standings. He currently ranks second, 18.5 points behind first place.

Ferrández is equally motivated heading into the Italian GP, returning to a country where he feels particularly at home. The rookie continues to make steady progress in his debut Moto2 season and is focused on building on the positive steps he has shown so far. With a clear objective to keep improving race by race, Ferrández is ready to take on the demands of the Mugello circuit and continue his development alongside the team.

Team Manager, BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2
"There's no point in hiding it: we arrive at Mugello with very high expectations. For many members of the team this is the closest race to home – in front of family, friends and the fans who support us throughout the season – so naturally there is a special feeling around this Grand Prix. After the positive test in Barcelona and the strong performances our riders have shown this year, we come into the weekend more motivated than ever.

"At the same time, we must stay calm and continue working the same way we always do: with focus, humility, and total commitment. One of the most encouraging aspects for me is seeing how much our riders, especially Izan, have matured over the course of this season. That growth gives us confidence that we can continue to be among the protagonists again this weekend.”

"We arrive at the seventh round of the championship in a very positive moment. We already have two podiums in a row and four overall this season, so naturally the confidence and feeling with the bike are currently very good.

"Mugello is a circuit I really enjoy and where I've always had strong results. I finished second here in Moto3, and in Moto2 I've also had some very solid races here, consistently fighting around the top positions.

"It's a very long and demanding track, but we are arriving motivated and ready to enjoy the weekend. The goal is to fight for another strong result and continue building on the positive momentum we have right now."

"As always, we need to continue improving step by step and keep working in the same direction. I feel motivated, confident, and ready to keep learning and growing together with the team."
