Jerez de la Frontera (Spain), 22nd April 2026
BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2 have arrived in Spain for Round 4 of the 2026 Moto2 World Championship, held at the Circuito de Jerez – Ángel Nieto. With eight races in the space of 12 weeks, the team is keen to hit the ground running.

Izan Guevara knows the Jerez track well. His best Moto3 result there was a hard-fought win in 2022, while his best Moto2 score is 12th place in 2024. Holding second place in the 2026 overall standings, the home hero is determined to keep challenging for top scores.

Following the multi-rider incident during the US GP Moto2 race, Alberto Ferrández has made a full recovery during the three-week break. Already familiar with the 4.42km Jerez track, he is looking forward to his home race. The rookie is currently in 22nd place in the rankings with 0.5 point.

Team Manager, BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2
"We go into this round with Izan sitting second in the World Championship. He is in very good form and, considering that we struggled with this track last year, I am curious to see how things will go this time. If we are able to take a step forward on such a challenging circuit for us, it will be a clear sign that we have improved beyond what we have shown so far. I am also convinced that the data gathered during the winter test will be a valuable reference when defining the strategy for the Grand Prix.

"On the other side we have Alberto, who is returning after a major crash in Austin. He is feeling well and ready to race. Of course, he will undergo the mandatory medical check on Thursday, and we are confident he will be cleared to compete. For the first time this season, he will be racing on a track he already knows, which will certainly support his development in the category.

"We are highly motivated and ready for the first European event of the season."

"After a three-week break away from the track, it feels great to be racing again and my motivation is extremely high. Over the past few days, I've focused on training as much as possible, especially on the bike, and I feel well prepared heading into this Grand Prix. Jerez is a circuit I really enjoy. It's a challenging track for everyone, as all riders know it extremely well. We completed the winter tests here and gathered positive data along with very good sensations, which we aim to build on from the very first session. We arrive at this race with strong expectations. I'm currently second in the championship and we have a solid base with the bike. The goal is to keep working in this direction and continue on this path."

"Following the crash in Austin, where I suffered a heavy blow to the head, I wasn't feeling well for several days. However, I underwent all the necessary medical checks, and I am now fully recovered. Over the past few weeks, I have been working extensively with physiotherapy to rebuild my strength.

"Jerez is a demanding circuit for our bike and also a track where I personally find it challenging to express my full potential. That said, having the references from the winter test gives me confidence that we can have a solid weekend. Racing in Spain in front of the home crowd will surely provide extra motivation. I'm really looking forward to competing in front of our fans at Jerez."
