The BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2 Team are highly motivated to keep the positive momentum of the first Moto2 World Championship round going at Round 2, the Grand Prix of Brazil.

Izan Guevara is keen to get aboard his bike again. He came second in the Thai GP Moto2 restart, during which less than 50% of the original race distance was completed and therefore half points were awarded. Thanks to Guevara's efforts in Buriram, he currently holds second place in the championship standings with 10 points, just 2.5 points from the lead.

Rookie Alberto Ferrández is keen to gather further experience at his next new circuit. As none of the current Moto2 riders have raced at the Ayrton Senna track before, he feels this is an opportunity to showcase his adaptablity in a level playing field. He is currently 15th in the championship rankings with 0.5 point.

The Autódromo Internacional Ayrton Senna in Goiânia hosted the Brazilian GP from 1987-1989 but underwent modernization ahead of its return to the MotoGP calendar in 2026. The circuit features a 3.84 km layout (9 right corners, 5 left corners) that has been completely reconstructed and resurfaced, including new asphalt and fully upgraded safety features, to meet FIM and FIA international standards.

The Grand Prix of Brazil is held in the GMT-3 time zone. FP1 will take place on Friday from 10:00-10:50 local track time and Practice from 14:15-15:05. On Saturday, FP2 will be held from 09:25-09:55, and the qualifying sessions from 13:40-14:20. On Sunday, the 26-lap Race starts at 13:15.

Team Manager, BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2
"We are very motivated for this Brazilian GP. It will be a new track for everyone and that makes it particularly exciting. In recent weeks we have all studied and tried to gather as much information as possible about this circuit, but until we are actually on track, we cannot form a precise and detailed idea of what it will really be like.

"From Izan, I expect him to continue the positive trend he started at the end of last season and that he is now consolidating.

"For the first time this season, Alberto will find himself in the same situation as the other riders, and this is giving him extra motivation. It will be important for him to continue working as he did in Thailand: approaching each session step by step, learning while enjoying himself.

"As a team, we will carefully analyse tyre wear, because with a new circuit we will need to build our own references."

"We head to a new circuit with great motivation, especially because I usually adapt quickly to new tracks. I've received a lot of information about the layout, although I won't really know what to expect until I'm on the bike. We're working with a very positive momentum, as shown by the strong result in the first race of the season, and now we need to keep consolidating the work we've been doing."

"After the first GP I feel more confident and I have a clearer idea of the areas where I still need to improve. In Brazil we will all face a new circuit, so the conditions will be the same for everyone. I won't have an advantage, but I won't be at a disadvantage either, so I need to be smart and observe how the more experienced riders work to learn as much as possible and speed up my adaptation.

"The last few days, I trained doing flat track, which helps me control the bike and is also something I really enjoy. My objective for this season is simple: listen carefully to my team, apply their advice on the bike, and keep improving lap by lap to become more and more consistent."
